Just Like a Sunburn
I've been moisturizing my stretching belly and breasts with some lovely lotion that my friend Shawnee gave me and I also got this Burt's Bees Nourishing Body Oil for some extra moisture.
The best way for me to describe how my stretching belly 'n' boobs feel is that I feel like I've got myself a sunburn. My skin feels tight and slightly uncomfortable and sometimes a little itchy.
Book Recs or I Just Grew a Second Uterus
I asked a handful of girlfriends/mothers for book recommendations and boy did they give 'em to me. This post is more for me than you, so that I can come back here and look for some informative reads or links.
The Happiest Baby on the Block -Harvey Karp, M.D.
Another friend said to just watch the you tube video:
The Vaccine Book -Dr. Sears, I got many recs on Dr. Sears' books including the Baby Book.
Babywise - Robert Bucknam
Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems -Richard Ferber (great to read before the baby comes, so you can see what bad habits not to get stuck with)
Belly Laughs - Jenny McCarthy - my friend Shawnee sent me this and I read it in a couple of nights. It's a very light/funny read.
La Leche League's Womanly Art of Breastfeeding - Wiessinger, West and Pitman
The No Cry Sleep Solution - Elizabeth Pantley
What Your Dr May Not Tell You About Vaccinations -Stephanie Cave
Baby Bond - Linda F. Palmer
Books for Pregnancy and Birthing:
The Pink Kit
Ina May's Guide to Childbirth - I've gotten many recs on Ina May's books including Spiritual Midwifery which I'm looking forward to read.
"Pushed" by Jennifer Block - which I probably won't read only because I saw the documentary "The Business of Being Born" which also talks about childbirth and modern maternity care.
"The Thinking Woman's Guide to Childbirth" by Henci Goer
"Baby Catcher" by Peggy Vincent
"The Birth Partner" by Peggy Simkin
"Your Birth, Your Way" Sheila Kitzinger
The Complete Book of Pregnancy and Childbirth" Sheila Kitzinger
"Homebirth" Sheila Kitzinger
"Healing Yourself During Pregnancy" Joy Gardner
"Birthing From Within" Pam England
"Your Natural Pregnancy" Anne CharLish
"The Natural Pregnancy Book" Aviva Jill Romm
"Every Woman's Guide to Eating During Pregnancy" Shulman & Davis
"Active Birth" Janet Balaskas

I honestly will probably only read 5 or 6 of these books...only because I can't seem to put down those trashy romance novels that I so love(not really). But listing all of these here I think I just grew another uterus.
